The School of Economics and Management consists of a glass box of communal facilities with four interlinked classroom wings meeting it more or less at right angles. The facilities block houses the auditorium and the lecture rooms, each a separately designed and constructed box with its own approach to colour and material. Between the two linked central wings is a void shot through with steel ramps and stairs. All three spaces between wings contain gardens, with the material of the facades adhering to the ambience of the garden concerned, these being a Zen garden, a jungle garden with steel footbridge, and a water garden.
