Station Arnhem
The area around and including Arnhem railway station is presently undergoing a protracted operation in phases which will transform it into a complex transportation hub. This will consist of a transfer hall mediating between six transport networks, a new station square, shops, a covered bus terminus, a parking facility, a cycle shelter and a new railway viaduct. The masterplan was preceded by studies of traveller flows. Fluid lines that blur the distinction between roof, floor and wall accompany the various flows of passengers. First on site was a combined car tunnel and car park entrance. Two office towers were added to the ensemble in 2005.
