It is perhaps ironic that a hardware merchant should occupy this explicitly concrete building. The complex consists of four sheds with vaulted roofs, an office building, a porter's lodge, garages and a workshop. Thick concrete beams carry the trusses and guide the electric overhead cranes. Two of those concrete beams cantilever 7.5 metres so that one overhead crane could be brought level with a railway wagon. The sheds have exterior walls of open and solid concrete elements and roofs of concrete coffered panels with glass tile windows.
