Designed by Van der Vlugt, and after his death built under the direction of Van den Broek, this hospital comprises an out-patients', services and office spaces in the understructure, three levels of wards above, and an operating department with roof terrace on the top floor. Its structure consists of a concrete frame with lightweight partition walls, ondfacadesof glazed brie t with steel window and door frames. In 1957-1960 the hospital was extended by Van den Broek & Bakema.
