The tongue of land reaching out between the remaining section of Spoorweghaven and Binnenhaven has been divided into two big apartment buildings separated by a plaza (designed by Atelier Quadrat). The sheer size of the area called for a sturdy, massive architecture and blocks of great sculptural eloquence. The development sites five hefty brickwork blocks between the two harbour basins; the two end blocks are rectangular, the three in-between step up towards Binnenhaven, generating capacious roof gardens for the penthouses. All intermediate areas are closed off with low-rise, except at the plaza.
