BUILDING TYPE:
Housing

Here, by treating the garage as an integral component of the house, an entirely new dwelling type was developed that was not to go unrepeated, particularly during the 1950s and '60s. A semi-circular stair leads from a glazed entryway alongside the garage up to an open, well-lit living space. Dining area and living zone are separated by a glazed sliding partition, with a straight steel stair connecting the dining room to the garden at the rear.
