The living quarters of this house are situated upstairs to benefit from the view of the square, with utility rooms below. As the latter are set well back, the house, which rests on freestanding round columns, gives the impression of floating; an approach comparable to that of Le Corbusier's Villa Savoye. The living level has an open plan that can be variously subdivided using folding partitions. During a renovation the outside stair was demolished and part of the glazed wall filled in.
