The school was built according to the same basic principle underlying Hertzberger's Apollo Schools (110). The classroom facades in this case are curved and of a more open character. Those upstairs are grouped in two clusters of three each with its own 'prefatory space'. Dislocating the two clusters created space for a central amphitheatre. Once again Hertzberger managed to achieve a great spatial opulence within the limited budget allotted for building schools, and shows himself to be a master of detail.
