This mixed-use education building is an amalgamation of examination rooms, two large lecture halls and a common room cum restaurant. OMA concentrated all functions in a containing box whose sloping floors and ramps generate a single uninterrupted space. In this space the two lecture halls are configured as distinct entities, a glass oval and a concrete and steel rectangle. The raked floors of the lecture halls curl up at the top end to double back as their roofs to finally combine as the floor of the large examination room. The section through this continuous movement from floor to wall to roof can be read off in the glass facade.
