Brought out of isolation by links to the Hollands Spoor railway station, this former industrial site is now an attractive urban area with a concentration of schools. The latter are combined into a megastructure of three partially overlapping main volumes: two blocks of classrooms (one elongated, the other serpentine) and a central oval building, in and around which are the shared facilities. The key space of the complex is a glass-roofed plaza in the oval component. A conical volume set eccentrically in this large indoor area contains the general assembly hall.
