BUILDING TYPE:
Buildings for education
Sociocultural buildings

The available site of 15 x 30 metres is oversailed in its entirety by a 6.5 metre tall structure of steel tubes on a module of 5 square metres. An oblique wall of glass divides the building into an interior and an exterior portion. Inside, four groups of children are accommodated in two levels. The exterior part is designed as a playground, where an upward-growing hedge will come to envelop the steel structure. The transition from inside to outside proceeds gradually, with floors and roof stepping up to and over the glass wall. The introverted outer walls sport two window bands per storey, at toddler and at guardian eye-height.
