This Information centre wants to be part of the dunes, even having an undulating roof you can walk across; entry through a large drainpipe is an unmistakable reference to water management. The centrally-placed oval film theatre pokes up through the grass roof; services and offices assemble in a strip on the north side. The whole is supported by a structure of laminated timber beams and posts which combines with the welter of air ducts, interior fittings, partitions and exhibition displays into a magnificently complex interior for some, a chaotic jungle for others.
