Housing Kiefhoek

Oud designed this church serving the Kiefhoek housing free of charge to made sure that nothing of the estate's unity would be lost. Its simple rectangular main space with balconies either side is flanked on one side by ancillary spaces of varying height. Like the houses, the church has white-rendered facades and is horizontally articulated. Only the chimney adds a vertical touch. The church has been renovated, keeping as close as possible to the original design. Oud invited Vilmos Huszár to design stained glass windows (no longer in place) for the main church space and a colour scheme for one of the ancillary spaces.
