Curved shells set in an east-west direction together comprise a sawtooth roof with daylight entering from the north. The factory is extendable lengthways and its inner partitions can be removed or repositioned. Both plan and facades are based on a module of 1 x 1 metre. The long facades are almost entirely of glass. The western extremity of each shell roof has been rotated slightly to create something resembling the wings of a theatre with daylight glazing on the north-facing slopes. A freestanding steel structure marks the main entrance.
