This organically shaped elliptic building sits like a spaceship in the landscape. In such instances as this, traditional architectural concepts such as facade and roof simply don’t apply. The organic nature of the waste processing plant is echoed in the building’s parti, which is nothing other than a metaphor for the process of digestion: offices in the head, storage space in the neck and a colossal processing hangar symbolizing the stomach. Last in line are the purification units.
