Various architectural events held in Groningen have left their traces. Of the 1990 exhibition ‘What A Wonderful World’ on music videos, Rem Koolhaas’s https://www.architectureguide.nl/project/item/prj_id/2290" class="inline_link">Video Bus Stop is still in place along with a https://www.architectureguide.nl/project/item/prj_id/2291" class="inline_link">glass pavilion by Bernard Tschumi now doing duty as an information centre. Also dating from 1990 are ten city markers based on Daniel Libeskind’s masterplan, ‘The Books of Groningen’, a latter-day variant on ancient city gates. Libeskind’s own contribution is a painted open book along the A7. ‘A Star Is Born’, a 1996 project is represented today by an urinoir designed by OMA in association with the photographer Erwin Olaf.
