With over 30 stopping-off points between Gouda and Hook of Holland, the Waternet, a passenger transport system over water, is to turn Rotterdam into the 'Bangkok of the West'. Water taxis, initially introduced to serve https://www.architectureguide.nl/project/item/prj_id/282" class="inline_link">Hotel New York and party ships, can moor here. The stopping-off points consist of a pontoon attached to the quay by a gangplank and a unit of passenger shelter and information point whose shape and bright colours act as a beacon. The panel at each stop describes the location in question as it was before the 1940 air raid. Its logo is a W, a watery reversal of the M for metro.
