This mysterious gleaming object stands at a busy multi-modal traffic intersection. It seems to want to deny its prosaic duties as a sewage pumping station or at least elevate these above workaday reality by resembling a streamlined engine. The rounded stainless steel skin is wrapped tightly about the three pumps and the necessary manoeuvre space in the interior. Something of the object's relationship with the underground sewerage infrastructure is revealed by the pipes leading from it into the ground. At night the once-solid object is reduced to a grid of light lines embedded in the seams.
