This 114 metre high colossus dominates Rotterdam's skyline. The high-rise slab contains laboratories, the low-rise block lecture halls and administration. Its concrete frame is fully clad in white enamelled aluminium sandwich panels designed by Jean Prouvé. It was built in a remarkably short time by following flexible standard plans and using extensive prefabrication.
