Industrial and public-utility buildings
Here at this plant the sewage treatment process takes place in an elongated field of cylindrical tanks. At the head end of this kilometre long strip, an office building joins forces with three enormous sludge digestion tanks. A curtain of purified water, the end product, hangs in front of the tanks as an additional facade plane. The slender office building in turn unites with the tall rectangular sludge depot beyond the digestion tanks, the two separated by a gateway to the grounds beyond. The office proper has fully glazed facades, part semi-transparent profiled glass, part transparent. The building's full height can be experienced at the entrance, from where a route of stairs rises diagonally to the restaurant and office spaces which look out over the entire length of the grounds.
