Between 1958 and 1961 the Progress company replaced the old wooden sheds in its general cargo complex with four new ones and a gateway building traversed at right angles by a road for lorries and diagonally by a railway. The remaining ground-floor area originally contained entrances, storage and plant with washrooms, changing rooms and a canteen as well as offices and a live-in unit on the upper floors. The building, which has been restored and now contains offices, has a concrete structure and facades virtually fully glazed with clear glass, coloured glass and glass block.
