This technical training school is a modification of an unrealized design in brick of seven years earlier. Following his experiences with Zonnestraal and the Open Air School, Duiker once again used a concrete frame taking a standard classroom as basic structural unit. All classrooms are off a central corridor, either lengthwise or at right angles to it. A bicycle shelter, the cloakroom and the porter's lodge cluster round the entrance. The horizontally organized, stepped facade is crowned by a structure resembling a ship's bridge. After the school vacated the building it was restored and now serves as a centre for creative professions.
