The two lowest levels of this restrained yet sensitively designed office building have a glazed facade, the uppermost level is in red brick. As the rubber sealant of the glazing and the joints of the brickwork are in the same red the building conveys a strong feeling of unity. In the long side of the L-shape and toplit by a monitor rooflight is the public zone. The brick upper level was not strictly necessary but was added to prevent the employment exchange from being swallowed up by the taller buildings surrounding it.
