This building consists of a main church space marked by concrete shell roofs and a facade of glass and concrete, and an oblong rectangular services block, the two being linked by a free-form circulation area. The irregular dimensions deriving from free-hand sketches are controlled by the Modulor, Le Corbusier's proportional system based on the Golden Section. His influence is clear yet assimilated in the design along personal lines. Inside, sturdy materials such as untreated concrete and unpolished pine combine with marble and walnut.
