This residential building has flats for people living alone and small families. Van Tijen had decided on reflection that the building type he had developed for the https://www.architectureguide.nl/project/item/prj_id/259" class="inline_link">Bergpolderflat and https://www.architectureguide.nl/project/item/prj_id/264" class="inline_link">Plaslaanflat was less suited to families with children. A number of rooms on the roof can be used as guest-rooms or as a temporary extension for the flats. The ground floor contains a communal garden bounded by a café, two shops, a day nursery and a garage. There are spaces beneath the block for storage and for washing and drying.
