Experimental Temporary Housing De Fantasie
This experimental house (motto 'hardglas' (hardened glass)) consists of ready-made components of minimal weight, to be assembled and dismantled by the user. Resting on a space-frame chassis on adjustable jacks, it comprises an enclosed zone of 2 x 8 metre with bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, and an all-glass living area of 6 x 8 metre. The steel roof, anchored to the floor with tension cables, is supported on three sides by 12 mm. thick glass sheets with luted joins.
