This luxury apartment building also containing shops and offices has been branded by the press as the epitome of arrogance and bad taste. It is in fact a restrained, well-considered and elegant building which slots well into its setting through the comb-shaped structure overlooking Vondel Park and the tall development and office tower on the square side. The building is enlivened at street level by a flamboyant extension and crowned with a gold truncated cone, originally intended as a sky bar and now containing the living room of the topmost apartment.
