The designer of many cultural centres, Onno Greiner calls this one a 'play-town'. Two roofed inner streets provide access to a large hall, theatre, bar and creative centre. Volumes are organized in a pattern of squares (6.4 x 6.4 m.) individually constructed of ready-made elements (four columns and a timber roof). The use of small-scale components to generate larger brick-clad structures is typical of this type of building from the 1970s. After a fire, part of the building was modernized by Greiner.
