Immediately after its completion this building achieved fame through its consistent elaboration of the office landscape concept, with all office functions being incorporated in one large open space devoid of partitions. The building itself is in two parts separated by a double-height volume containing the entrance and stairs to bridge the difference in level between the two. Toilets, emergency stair and services are housed in sealed cylindrical shafts.
