This high-rise development for an investment trust follows the direction of the old street plan, as do the nearby https://www.architectureguide.nl/project/item/prj_id/184" class="inline_link">HBU building and https://www.architectureguide.nl/project/item/prj_id/27" class="inline_link">Schielandshuis. The heights of both these buildings are echoed in the less-tall volumes of the new slab. The jutting portion is of reflecting glass, the tower itself is clad in dark green granite. Its unassuming, restrained facade has detailing that is logical, basic and subtle. The profile of the elevations, which are almost two-dimensional but not quite, generates a pilaster effect which combines with the basement-like arcade and the blank-walled 'cornice' into a near classical, Miesian skyscraper.
