One of the first of the https://www.architectureguide.nl/project/item/prj_id/319" class="inline_link">Kop van Zuid buildings was designed by Norman Foster and Partners, who also drew up the master plan for the Wilhelmina Pier. The building is in fact little more than a glass box enveloping the actual simulator, an imitation ship's bridge from which one can virtually navigate ocean-going vessels, set in a drum attached to the roof by a strip of glass which lets sunlight in onto the walls.
