Henk Klunder's residential tower, originally to be the tallest in the Netherlands at 120 metres, had its fair share of publicity when projected in 1982. Set along the axis of Lijnbaan, it had to be rotated slightly towards Weena to accommodate a bend in the underground metro route. This raised the noise level for the units on the lower floors to an unacceptable level, so that these levels were then given over to office space. The modified design was brought back to 106 metres and the distinctive 'punch card' exterior of the original ceded to a semicircular aluminium curtain wall. Klunder is also responsible for the blue-glazed Weenahuis (1987) next door.
