At 138 metres high and all of 47 storeys, Westpoint in Tilburg was the tallest residential tower in the Netherlands in 2004. The 'pride of Tilburg' claimed temporarily the national building height record from the high-rise capital, Rotterdam. The east and west facades are largely of glass; the other two sides are of anthracite-coloured concrete elements with a tight pattern of window openings. Next to the tower is a low-rise portion of 11 storeys. A parking facility completes the ensemble.
