Sited on the edge of the Kralingen district, this housing consists of three blocks of porch-access flats with garage boxes on the ground floor. The generous balconies have a jutting concrete awning to keep out the sun. With its diaphanous exterior of steel window frames, large expanses of glass, wire mesh reinforced glass and distinctive black Glasal panels this complex is a typical example of well-groomed reconstruction-era architecture, which at times is shown to better effect in the luxury blocks of flats in Hillegersberg and Kralingen than in the social housing of Pendrecht and Zuidwijk.
