This row of 23 townhouses can be construed as a sequel to Kempe Thill's earlier variation on the through-room https://www.architectureguide.nl/project/item/prj_id/2060" class="inline_link">terraced house in Roosendaal. Here the width has been reduced to the minimum permitted at the time so as to pack as many units as possible into the row. The upshot is a dwelling that is relatively deep, necessitating all-glass facades, and affordable because of its slight width. A front door that slides open is the only opaque element in the tautly framed facades. The front of the house is given over to a dining room and a stairwell accessing the first floor living room with its adjoining terrace at the rear. There is parking space in the garage downstairs at the back.
