These 280 dwellings stand on a site originally designated as greenspace. The blocks are massed and sited to accommodate their chaotic surroundings which include a metro route tunnelling right across the site. The principal element is a gateway building straddling Gerdesiaweg which defines a courtyard together with the two L-shaped blocks meeting it at right angles. Several smaller blocks scattered nearby engage the surrounding built environment.
