The facades of this type foundry consist of horizontal bands of wall and window. Yet it is the vertical touches, the well-founded principal measurements of the whole and the composition which includes a deviating basement and set-back steel crown (the canteen) that make this building a successful, modern infill in a wall of canal houses. The complex spills over into existing premises, covering the entire plot at ground level. Standard workshop floors on the canal side have a concrete truss construction with a steel structure at its apex. After being home to squatters for some time, the complex was converted into flats. Parts of the interior have been moved to other buildings.
