Office Building Wilhelminahof
Construction of the once-dreaded Tax Office on Puntegaalstraat began in 1939. It had to wait until 1949 to be completed due to the scarcity of building materials during and after the war. It has a concrete frame, though its exterior is presided over by monumental brick facades. A noteworthy feature is the pair of stacked atria in the central portion with semicircular roof. The building possesses a paternoster or continually moving lift that still operates today. It was renovated in 1996-1998 as Puntegale, a complex of 201 apartments and 18 office spaces.
