Awarded a state prize (De Bronzen Bever) in 1991, this urban renewal project packs 345 housing units onto the existing lot. Designed in a well-groomed neo-modern idiom, it achieves unity by allotting brickwork to the ground floor and rendering to the upper. lts distinctive roof structures house so-called backpack units, tiny dwellings for those first venturing onto the housing market.
