Industrial and public-utility buildings
This distribution centre with offices was deliberately designed as motorway architecture; the A30 Ede bypass is presently under construction there. A box of offices borne aloft on eight slender columns hovers above the distribution hall. On the roof of the lower portion of the hall is a parking deck, reached up a ramp, as well as the glazed main entry to the office box. The building’s steel structure is clad with silver-grey aluminium panels. The offices have an all-glass front facade and a rear facade strengthened with diagonal bracing. This building earned the young architectural practice the Charlotte Köhler Prize.
