Henk Klunder presented his proposal for three residential towers on Boompjes at the beginning of the 1980s. Art Deco-like decorations and a stepped composition make this design the missing link between the 'cosy' style of Klunder's early housing projects and his sleek high-rise of later years. The 68 metre tall towers were realized some years later in a more streamlined version. Using towers rather than slabs has kept the view from the adjacent residential area at an acceptable level. After dark the three glass stair towers at the rear are illuminated in red, yellow and blue neon respectively.
