This town hall, a competition-winning design laying great stress on climate control and passive solar energy, consists of a two-storey administrative section, including a council chamber with convex roof, surrounded on three sides by six storeys of offices. The intervening public hall has a slanting roof of powder-coated sheet steel with timber joists. The design accords a prominent place to stairs, bridges and air circulation.
