This family of 12 bridges - nine for cyclists and pedestrians, three for cars - was designed in a new business park to cross the drainage ditches of the old polder landscape. Most are centred round the central green area and combine sturdy structures with soft landscape elements. Each bridge is composed of a wooden deck and steel girders that drop down to the water level in places. Now and again the steel railings have their place taken by tree trunks. Artist Milou van Ham introduced 'encarvings' (enlarged versions of carvings made in local trees) into the steel structure.
