Within the new university complex 'The Arsenal' has retained its eye-catching status. It comprises two linked squares each with an inner court. One inner court has been built in, the other covered with a transparent dome supported by an agglutinated timber construction rising from a single point. The new concrete floors rest against newly-erected inner cavity wall leaves, with the old floor functioning as formwork. Cheap techniques such as this managed to keep restoration costs down.
