Alongside The Nieuw Land Heritage Centre is an original farm shed from Noordoostpolder. It was for such sheds that the firm of Schokbeton developed a prefabricated building system that allowed three sheds of increasing size to be constructed. These had timber frames of laminated triangular trusses. The concrete floor, ceiling and wall elements (including concrete window frames) were made in a limited number of standard types with a typical square pattern. Only the basic shape and the tile roofing can be termed traditional.
