These asphalt works consisted of a tower and two storeys of work spaces. For industrial architecture the facade was striking and colourful with its yellow and black profiled steel plates. Architecture critic Kenneth Frampton praised this unpretentious, 'decorated shed' comparing it to work by hard edge artists like Frank Stella and Donald Judd. The building was destroyed by fire in 1992.
