The ensemble consists of a tall office building and an elongated less-tall block of hotel rooms, the two linked on the ground floor by a row of general spaces. In the standard rooms in the hotel the bathroom is set against the outer wall (a French idea) rather than along the central corridor. The rippling frontage of the hotel is in prefabricated glazed brick panels; the office building has rounded ends and a facade in layers alternating service balconies and sun baffles. The core of vertical circulation and toilets stabilizes the ensemble from its position partly outside the main volume.
