Weena Area

The last high-rise to be built on Weena took its place on the corner of Kruisplein some years after the flurry of construction. The 132-metre-tall Westin Hotel boasts 288 rooms and office space. The American-style design is by the Canadian firm of Webb, Zerafa, Menkes & Housden, well known for their 553 metre high CN Tower in Toronto. With delivery expected around the year 2000, it was named the Millennium Tower.
