The existing municipal hall from the 1970s has been enlarged with a new-build portion inspired in materials and appearance by local wooden barns. The new additions have gently sloping roofs and overhangs and are almost entirely of wood, with a supporting structure of laminated columns and beams. Facades are clad in brown-red stained rough-sawn wood elements of various widths with vertical wood elements serving as solar shading. The interior is similarly presided over by wood in the shape of Meranti and larchwood slat walls, larchwood ceilings and floor panels of glued pinewood planks.
