THIS BUILDING HAS BEEN DEMOLISHED

ARCHITECT(URAL OFFICE):
Hendrik Wijdeveld

BUILDING TYPE:
Housing

STATE:
Demolished in 1991

Peculiar to this housing block individual are the undulating brick walls on its principal corner. This section in particular shows the influence of the Amsterdam School, of which Wijdeveld was a staunch advocate. Above right in the facade by the railway lines is the most fantastic bay window (both view-wise and in terms of exclusiveness) in Amsterdam.
The housing complex was demolished in 1991.
